Hi all,
The boat dives available for people to join at the moment are listed. We have some good divers going on the boat trips, with plenty of experience in Okinawa and abroad, so these will be good trips!! They're great dives and well worth doing, and great dive opportunites with very experienced Boat Captains also.[/
b].

Ie Jima on August the 8th
-I currently have many people interested in Ie Jima, 11 of us now ( 1 place open).
It will be with Chuck, North of Nago. (NEW PORT, past Motebu port on the left, go past Sesoko bridge (on the left) over a Blue Bridge, then take the NEXT Right, off the road that goes to Expo Park- (The Port is virtually under the Blue Bridge!))Supposed to be great diving off that island, Large Sea Fans, Great Marine life, chance to see Sharks, Big fish, Turtles etc., (not far from Expo Park near the Aquarium). The island with the pyramid style mountain on it you can see from many places. The 8th is available & is booked for us!, $60 for 2 dives, $75 for 3, Afternoon Departure 1pm show up, around 1:30ish depart, don't be late.Limit of 12 divers BYO tanks, gear etc. This trip has been changed to an afternoon departure, 1pm, 2 or 3 dives possible. ***** This was a Great Trip! Only 8 divers showed though. :?

The Emmons/ Hedo on August 14th, 7:15am meet, don't be late!!. I have 11 divers for that trip now, (I am awaiting divers to Confirm by Thursday night and then will offer any empty places to others!) may be a chance for someone, so Tell your friends, will offer any open spaces on Friday, first in Best dressed for extra spots!! *** Contact me by Thursday night to Confirm!! Anywhere from 110ft---140ft for The Emmons, up to you & your air/ dive plan, ... dive buddies with similar air consumption/ experience will need to go together if possible. It's a great dive, shortish, but nice wreck, Hedo is Awesome!! Advanced divers only for this one. 12 diver limit . Again, $75 for the trip. Recommend using Nitrox 32 or 36 on your 2nd and/ or 3rd dives if you can. Date is available & booked for us!!
********************* Port TBA !! Chuck has some drinks & snacks for divers, also Oxygen for emergency use and First Aid Kits!!! Air lines will be hung over the boat at 15ft for Safety Stops for divers!! Plenty of safe practices used by Chuck!
That is with North of Nago also. 8) BYO tanks, gear etc. Had 10 for this trip, awesome dives with great Viz !! :D

The Manza Dream Hole, Seragaki area- August 29th. Have 11--12 for this now (12 diver limit), great dive at the Dream Hole!! The view out the Dream Hole is quite magical, one of the 'must do dives' on Okinawa. 2 or 3 tank dives, $40 for 2 dives, $50 for 3 dives . 8:30am show up, 9am depart. Morning or Afternoon departures from Onna Village Port with Oki Diving. (afternoon is 1pm show, 1:30pm depart), We are doing the morning trip though, ... easy to find off 58. Have booked the boat for this!! Boat captain is Dave (Dave north). BYO tanks/ gear etc. ***The Port is just past Seragaki beach. Once you see the sign to Seragaki island, take the next left to the Port!!! or ........ Just past Seragaki beach you will see a sign for "Ryukyu tribes" , make a left there ( or the next left at Yoza Motors) and head back 100m off 58 to the port. The boat will be parked on the left hand side of the port along the slope. Small port but easy to find, only about 200m from Seragaki island to the north. **** Please confirm your place by Thursday night!!! *** Had 11 divers for this! Just 1 empty spot, Great trip, nice Viz., good weather! :D

Ihea/Izena islands & Hedo- Sunday 12th September- have 11 definite so far, 1 more place left!! Get in quickly! *** 12 diver max.(we need a full boat for this trip) Exploring Okinawa's most northern islands, a rare dive trip, possible drift dives, heaps of marine life etc. *** Morning departure, meet @ 7:15am--7:30am, back around 4pm. ****NOTE- $90 for 3 dives, as the islands are fairly far away. BYO tanks/ gear. With Chuck- North of Nago boat charters. Port details later. [i]The 2nd Sunday in September is the only one open for a full day trip like this.i] Advanced divers and above welcome. Recreational dives, Nitrox recommended but not necessary. Please bring a Safety Sausage, O2 & First Aid kits are onboard. Drinks/snacks onboard also. **** Allow approx. 90mins from Kadena Marina to the Port. About 30mins from Nago. **** You Will need to give a deposit for this. A $40 deposit for your spot on the boat. Contact me about this!.
***** Fall back plan will be Ie Jima and Mina Jima if the weather is not favourable for the outer islands. $75 for 3 dives there. **** This will be a rare opportunity to dive some hard to get to islands, boats rarely do trips out there for diving, should be some really friendly marine life, chance to see some amazing things! Possibly Whale Sharks, Mantas, Eagle Rays, sharks, Napoleon fish, Stingwrays, Sea turtles, Moray Eels etc. 8) 8)

The Keramas- September/ October --- Looking to go out for 3 dives, I have 1 boat that will take us out from Ginowan Marina, after the 15th of September, for $90 for 3 dives (including tanks & drinks!). I'm also looking into a Japanese operator for around 6,000yen for 3 dives, but we will need a DM or Instructor with us for them, they have many rules, sometimes busy boats & shorter dives also (sometimes not so worth it), will see how feasible that is. Maybe 2--3 trips depending on numbers/ interest!!? Sites dependent on weather. Have 12-14 interested now. Will look into available positions for that with the operators, and the best/easiest boat deal, first in best dressed. Should be from the port in Ginowan or from Chatan, have to confirm a boat, hopefully one is available when we want it!? But, with enough notice we'll be fine. Seems Papa-san has retired. :(
More news on that later, great diving out there, great viz. and much better coral than the main island here. :D
***** Looks like Mid-September to the end of October for the Keramas !!!! 8) :D

Yonaguni Island/possibly Ishigaki island too for Mantas--- February--- Schooling Hammerheads at Yonaguni + the underwater Monument/ Pyramid stone structure and nearby 'Stage' (another stone structure), + Manta Scramble at Ishigaki (hopefully)--- more details later, about a 4--6 day trip. You'll need at least Adv. cert. for this and be good in currents/ good on air!

****Please let good divers/ dive buddies know about the boat dives, it's the best/ easiest/ cheapest way to get out there and dive some great spots. Need to book in advance and get organised soon!!
*****Best to have confident divers for boat dives, especially for the more Advanced dive spots and potential currents. The Keramas is usually like a big pool. 8)

**** Please bring Safety sausages for Boat diving, that's not 'fish food' , that's the Orange markers that are air filled from depth, to show the boat your location, just in case of separation. Cheap to buy!! *** Dive lights are always a good idea also !!

*** I recommend the use of Nitrox 32 or 36 on your 2nd and/or 3rd dive when diving deep on the first, or for 3 dive boat trips, preferably Nitrox 36, but know your limits. 8)

***** Please try to give ample warning of Cancellation and plan to have enough time to get to the Port !!! :!:

**** Note: I'm not Guiding these dives, just organising the boat for people to use/ join us on some dive trips. :)
*** Pay the captain directly, I make nothing from the trip, it is not my business.
:)

James, Got your e-mail, should be fine.
You were the 13th person to sign-up for the Emmons/ Hedo. But 1 diver was in question already, I will double check on that!!
The boat fits 12 comfortably, 13 should be OK though if need be, will double check on the 'maybe' and will also make sure we can squeeze on 13 if need be, should be fine either way!

Hey Bradley,

I should be good for Ie on the 8th, so count me in.

Maybe for the hole if it's the 29th, family leaves on the 28th, but definitely good for some weekend keramas trips in September to wind down from 60+ hour work weeks... Too bad papa-san retired... did he give his boat to his son?

Hey Mate, will put you down for Ie Jima! Nice! 8)

Will make the Hole the 29th then, no-one has mentioned a preference so far!
Will check on that date and book it !

Papa-san's son already had a boat, not as fast though, lol !! Will talk with him and some others and find a good deal!

If the Emmons is full and can't take 13 that is alright. I can always get on the wreck another day. I do have another 3 years here. I forwarded your email to a few friends I dive with and may be interested in the Ie Jima trip. Still waiting to confirm.

I'm pretty sure we can fit you on for the Emmons dive, it should be doable.

Let me know about Ie Jima, as the spots are filling up, I still have 4 though!

Cheers!
