Hey all. Just signed up on here. My name is James. I thought I had seen a site like this a few months back but was looking yesterday and couldn't remember the name to save my life, but found the ad on Japan Update a little while ago.
Anywyas, I am not certified yet. I have been trying to fond a break in my schedule with work to get to a clas sbut haven't had any luck yet. Hopefully I can work something out this month in between TAD trips here and there. Anywyas, I am really looking forward to getting out and diving. I have enjoyed my snorkeling esperiences here on island for the past year and can't wait to get under a little more.

Welcome to GoatDawgDivers! I hope you are able to work something out for a class. There are numerous instructors that are not tied to real strict schedules that can probably help you out. Keep looking and I'm sure you'll be in the water in no time.

I hope you can get certified soon and start doing some SCUBA diving. It is a great hobby and an awesome way to see a very different part of Okinawa.

Welcome to the board. If you can't find a course give us a call at the shop we start courses daily and can fit any schedule- days, nights, weekends only, whatever your schedule we can assign an instructor to met your schedule.

Thanks for all the welcomes and greetings. I am looking forward to getting in the water.
If I can't find a class that meets my schedule I will definately give you a call here in the next week or two.

7 months and I am finally certified. No it did't take me 7 months to do it but to schedule it. Started last Thursday and did my final open water this afternoon. Hit me up if anyone wants to get out there. Again I do have a hectic schedule but just message me or shoot me an email and I will get back to you.

Wow - that is a fast class! Where did you get certified? Most of the shops on base run a one week class - haven't heard of many places on island doing a four day class.

It wasn't a 4 day course more like a 10 day course.
Now on to AOW and Rescue diver.........
